Soothing earth tones, tasteful furnishings, and a Zen-like style and ambience connect this inn to the California coast. All the individual guest rooms, with the exception of the Meadowview Suite, feature ocean views. All accommodations have gas fireplaces, down comforters and pillows (hypoallergenic option available), feather beds, fine linens, and other high-end luxury appointments.
Situated off Highway 1, the inn’s inviting entrance opens on to the reception area and Great Room, where a central fireplace and Arts & Crafts style furniture provide a focal point. The artwork is from local artist Rebecca Johnson, who creates images of barns using actual recycled barn wood. Breakfast at the Inn is a culinary experience not to be missed. Fresh pastries, whipped Belgian hot chocolate, artisan coffee, organic eggs, fresh-squeezed juices, and a wide variety of selections from the seasonally-changing, cooked-to-order breakfast menu are presented every morning. Each evening, our executive chef prepares a selection of appetizers for our guests that is included with their stay. These selections are presented in room-specific Mendo Boxes crafted by local woodworker, John Myers, from the eco-salvaged redwood used to build the inn.
