2023’s Inaugural Forage Mendocino Mushroom Symposium + Foragers’ Faire was a roaring success; with a shoestring budget and only 6 weeks to plan, we pulled it off and have left the public wanting more! The Second Annual Forage Mendocino Mushroom Symposium & Foragers’ Faire, 12/13-12/15 promises to be bigger and better! We have partnered with Mendo Parks, Little River Inn, SCP Mendo Farm and Inn, and Inn at Schoolhouse Creek as our venue sponsors and preferred attendee lodging. We have sponsorships from many fabulous Mendocino County businesses, including Harvest Market, Toulouse Winery, Anderson Valley Brewing Company, with more to be announced shortly.
This year we have a star-studded lineup of mycologists, citizen scientists, local Indigenous tribe members, chefs, musicians, influencers, vendors and artists to bring you a weekend of education, entertainment, and nourishment. Alan Rockefeller, Dr. Gordon Walker, Noah Siegel, Co Author of Mushrooms of the Redwood Coast + Mushrooms of Cascadia, Mandie Quark, Mama Grows Funk, and so many more are part of this exciting line up. This Symposium features our Flora, Fauna + Fungi Costume Gala feat. Mama Grows Funk, educational panels, and workshops, a five-course mushroom-tasting dinner, a two-day Foragers’ Faire craft market, guided forays, and more.
