Join expert tracker Meghan Walla Murphy for this wonderful workshop at the UC Hopland Research and Extension Center.
This one day workshop focuses on animal tracking, behavior, and ecology. You will explore track and sign, build your pattern literacy, and learn skills on how to read a landscape. As you observe the stories left by the animals, you will learn how to answer tracking questions on your own, regardless of where you call home.
Some skills will include:
- Bird Language
- Sensory Awareness
- Wildlife Cameras
- Tracking in Wildlife Conservation
- And a rich discussion about fire ecology and wildlife…
By the end of the workshop you will each walk away with not only a better understanding of HREC and its many animal species, but also with the skills to establish this same Sense of Place, wherever you may call home.
Please bring a packed lunch. Snacks and hot drinks will be provided. Only 20 places are available for this wonderful workshop – register early to guarantee your spot! Accommodations are available at the dormitory if required, at $30 per person/per night.
