Set in the heart of the Village of Mendocino, the MacCallum House is surrounded by expansive lawns and lush gardens that provide a picture-perfect backdrop to this historic property built in 1882. The Inn itself has 19 rooms, and also includes MacCallum Suites, a luxury mansion overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Jedediah Smith, a two-bedroom, one-bath newly-remodeled vacation rental, and Ocean Song, a large, two-bedroom house that sleeps six. All rooms include a gourmet breakfast. The onsite restaurant is renowned for its seasonal organic cuisine created by executive chef Alan Kantor, a pioneer in marrying sustainable farming with top-notch cheffing. Dinners are served in the former library, graced by two river stone fireplaces, candles, and garden flowers on the tables or, informally, in the sunporch café. The Grey Whale bar is just the place to sip a custom cocktail while watching the sun go down.
The Inn is a short stroll from the art galleries, shops, restaurants, beaches, and cliffs that Mendocino is known for. The Mac House, as it’s affectionately known, welcomes travelers with pets and kids!
For those looking to get hitched, there is a range of special event options for weddings, elopements, receptions, and other occasions. Ask about the MacCallum Wine Tours, available to take guests on wine-tasting tours and other transportation needs.
