The historic Victorian Nicholson House was built in 1904 and transformed into a Mendocino Hotel, a cozy and comfortable bed and breakfast in the 1970’s. Since then it’s been updated and modernized but it still has the look, charm and feel of its historical character.
It is located in the heart of Mendocino, within a short walk to the beach and to headland trails, coffee shops, art galleries. The Inn is adjacent to an open meadow that looks out toward the sea. They have wonderful rooms with plush feather beds, beautiful views, and reasonable rates. All guests are given free access to Sweetwater Eco Spa, located just down the path from the Inn.
Several of their rooms are pet-friendly, and some of these have ocean views or partial view of the ocean. They offer family-friendly suites with kitchens, and some adjoining suites. A complimentary continental breakfast is served every day in the breakfast room, consisting of an egg-dish, fresh fruits, fresh pastries, various juices, organic fresh ground coffee and hot teas.
